Wasteland 2 is a role-playing videogame developed and published by inXile Entertainment for Mac, Linux and PC. Deep Silver has published the physical edition of the game. It is the second release in the Wasteland franchise and serves as a sequel of the first title of the saga. The release of this installment has been possible thanks to Kickstarter, a crowd funding internet platform, through which hundreds of people have donated any amount of money they want, to allow this project to be carried out.
This game is set in a parallel universe, in which a horrible nuclear holocaust occured in 1988. Just a few people survived. A company of U.S Army Engineers and a few more survivors made their shelter in a prison in the desert. The soldiers expelled the inmates of the prison and invited the survivors to live there. After these events, the world is post-apocalyptic, and the survivors in the prison have gathered forces and formed a group called "The Desert Rangers." They are in charge of helping the survivors that appear in their desert and beyond. The desert in which the game is located is almost another character in the story. It is "alive," even though the setting is post-apocalyptic. It is full of gangs, crazed religious zealots, rabid survivalists, and even mutant animals that will no doubt attack you.
Better if you stay away from people
The gameplay of Wasteland 2 is quite simple and the game can be categorized as a party-based, turn-based RPG. Once you download this RPG, you will be free to play with a party of up to seven members. Within these seven members, there are four characters that you can design, and three that are non-player characters. The ones you can design are highly customizable. You will be able to choose the appearance, the skills and the statics of them. The ones you cannot control have their own personalities, agendas, opinions and motivations, so it is possible that you do not agree with some of their behaviors.
The rest of the people in the desert are divided into factions. Some of these factions just want to survive and live in peace, and others want to bring justice and order to the post-apocalyptic chaos. However, there are some factions that are very religious and tribalistic and want to recruit other survivors to their cause.

There are seven factions in Wasteland 2, and they are divided into armed factions and religious ones. The more important armed factions are the Desert Rangers and the Cochise AI. The Desert Rangers, as mentioned before, are in charge of protecting survivors and are attempting to rebuild society. The people of the Conchise AI are scientists that defeat survivors to repopulate the world with "pure" specimens. Other armed factions, less important that the previous ones are the Ugly's Gang, whose methods are invading and kidnapping, and the Rail Nomads that are quite peaceful and seek to easy and simple lives. There are three religious factions that are quite brutal and live their lives to defeat people. These factions are the Servants of the Mushroom Cloud, the Blood Cult, and the Guardians of the Old Order.

The world is a hell! But even in these conditions there is room for hope; Wasteland and the universe is by the name of Desert Rangers.
A group of brave gunmen dedicated heart and soul to protect the innocent; to restore order in a lawless world where only the strongest survive. Or the smartest. Or the rogue. Or, why not, also the most dangerous. The Wilderness is not governed by a scale of traditional moral values. The good, the bad ... none of that matters when all you knew is gone to hell. So be free to act as you wish, no one will judge you for it. Although there will be consequences. And some transcendental for the development of the game.Wasteland 2 is an indicator that the most classic role, that of conscientious mechanical, dense gameplay and tactical cunning, is recovering. Only you can blame a sloppy that paragraph, which some find charming by the very thing 'vintage' but that does not correspond to what is expected today-and some graphic output errors. A game that spend long hours stuck and, as with its predecessor, we can get in the future and will engage us. Not much more you could ask for, especially if you are a lover of Wasteland or the Fallout brand.
- The game's plot is very interesting
- the game has very good mechanical
- This game has some defects playable
